And that's not all. 6 Runs in the first half-inning was a nice cushion for the defensive around starting pitcher Marius Nöther.

And the Mohawks remained offensively active. Points were continuously scored alongside another highlight in the third inning – 3-Run home run by Alexander Kwiring.

Coach Häfele took the opportunity to give every player who had traveled there early match practice. After just two innings, relief pitcher and newcomer Tobias Müllmeier switched to the mount. Head coach Pedro Medrano also 2019 an Bord

Early Christmas gift for the Mohawks Nagold – Head coach Pedro Medrano for 2019 approved

The Mohawks make himself before Christmas perhaps the most important gift for the 2. Bundesliga season 2019.
Head coach Pedro Medrano is also 2019 lead the men's team and continue to develop.

Executive Simon Mohr: "With Pedro, we have occupied an important position perfectly last year. Pedro lives baseball and identified to be 100% us Mohawks. We are pleased and proud at the same time, Pedro also the 2019 stay with us and the unfinished path consistently goes with us.”

Mohawks finish first Bundesliga season in last place

The first in the 2. Bundesliga falls at the end of sober. After the victory in Göppingen on 28. July 2018 had the Mohawks in the remaining games even more 2 suffered a defeat against the team from Neuchâtel and a victory against the division neighbors from Stuttgart.

Thus, at the end 5 victories and 19 Niederlagen – which due to the still relatively balanced league only enough for last place.

As shown in 2019 then goes on, the Competition Committee of the DBMS must clarify in the coming weeks. You can ask the Mohawks would stay in the league, because one or the other game could have turn out in favor of the Mohawks.

Second round yet with little income

The second half of the 2. Baseball Bundesliga South is not running for the Mohawks Nagold with the desired success. From the past 8 Playing a win could only be brought. However, were the Tübingen Hawks and the Heidenheim Heideköpfe 2 (je 2 Niederlagen) the league leader of the party. But also against the table neighbors Karlsruhe Cougars (2 Niederlagen) and the Göppingen Greensox (1 defeat and 1 Win) one was not as hoped successfully.

With 4 Victories and 16 Losses Standing at the bottom of the table - and penultimate Göppingen is currently still with 7 Victories at a distance from the Nagoldern.

The duel last Saturday, the 28. Therefore, in July was of great importance for both teams and because of the victory division especially for the Mohawks not the hoped-for outcome.

In Spiel 1 it was the home side, the successful from the start. Starting pitcher Alexander Kwiring had to find in the first inning difficulties the zone and had a hit with only equal 4 won runs. However Kwiring was henceforth better in the game and was up to the fifth passage no further runs more.

Attacking the Mohawks had but contribute little countable. Although good contacts and baserunner were regularly seen, own inability but also a bit of luck the Göppingen defense prevented the major Runs.

If the score 8:0 Runs at the beginning of the seventh inning, but the spell was broken. Through a true offensive fireworks of Nagolder with 6 Hits und 8 Runs was balanced the game again. But Göppingen succeeded in return mail the answer and put more 5 Runs nach. Also the change of Alexander Kwiring on Marc Meusel on the pitcher position could not prevent this Runs.

The Mohawks came in the next two innings, only one connection runs and so had the game with 13:9 Runs are submitted.

Spiel 2 should be considered under another star. From the start, managed the Mohawks of the guide point. And starting pitcher Marc Meusel had the offensive of Göppingen Greensox immediately under control. If succeeded Göppingen to get the ball into play, was the defensive Nagolder at the height and made secure from.

By further 8 Runs the Nagolder in the second round, the decision was early fallen. Göppingen tried Pitcherwechseln to slow the offensive of the Mohawks, which also slowed the run-yield - but not prevented. More runs in the fifth and sixth passage and only 2 Counter runs through the Greensox inning in three and six presented to the end of the sixth inning the final score of 2:12 Runs in favor of the Mohawks ago.

With 21 Hits in the two games they were aggressively active than the opponent at the end, but this could not be implemented in two wins. The two starting pitchers showed a very good idea. Small individual mistakes or carelessness in key situations were just in game 1 play a decisive.

The rest of the program at the last two days will not be easy. The Neuenburg Atomics comes this weekend last year's champion of 2. Bundesliga - currently in fourth place -after Nagold. And end of the season on 12. August, the Mohawks have to Stuttgart at the current Second. The Mohawks will do everything to the best season to complete and look forward to and off the pitch on each support.

Game of the series was on 09. June 2018 nor with 10-2 Runs are obtained) can thus further in coming.

From the start, the home side a residue ran after. In the first inning to starting pitcher Alper Ciftci yet freed from dangerous Bases Loaded situation with a strikeout in one run, However, in the second inning was the same situation a serious throwing error at the end of 4 Runs more responsible.

In return, the Mohawks offensive against the established Stuttgart pitcher was back pale. By the end of the fourth innings the Nagolder brought only a rotor by an Error Stuttgart defensive on Base. The first hit of the game played, Hannes Grossmann in the fifth round, but without countable Run after. The Pitcherwechsel to Marc Meusel slowed the offensive impulses of guests, the significant difficulties with the litters of Nagolder had.

In the sixth inning was by a Hitfolge Marius Nöther, Frieder Häfele and Alexander Kwiring the first run of the game to be run. However, this should remain the only while guests with two more runs in the sixth and seventh inning the final results after the regular playing time of 7 Innings mit 1:8 manufactured runs.

With this game, the first round is finished and the Mohawks are with 3 Victories and 9 Losses to date on the bottom of the table. With the start of the second half on Saturday, 07. July 2018 at home against Karlsruhe Cougars is the direct neighbor table to Nagold. Two wins would be important to the connection to the other teams not to lose.
