In the second inning, Nagolder's defense allowed another run, could through 3 fast out in the infield but prevent further runs.

The Bad Mergentheimer had in the following 4 Innings offensive no more chances to score. Even with Bases Loaded, the Nagolders kept their nerve on the defensive and did a good job with groundouts and flyouts in the field.

Light and shadow in the league game against Schriesheim

The U12s of the Nagold Mohawks received the Raubritter from Schriesheim last Sunday in bright sunshine.

Victory in the men's first game of the season

The long-awaited season opener took place last Sunday 2022 held at Mohawks Park.

With many spectators, The Mohawks received the guests from Bretten in bright sunshine and summer temperatures. Motivated and inspired by the last win against the Bretten Kangaroos in the cup game, the hosts started the game.

The Mohawks start with a quick first out. The Kangaroos managed to get a runner on base, but starting pitcher Marius Nöther provided solid pitching 2 more quick strikeouts, ending the guests' first attack.

The Mohawks started a scoring first offensive with a few base hits and walks.

Many mistakes by the Bretten defensive made sure that the Nagolder in 1. inning already 14 hitters could send to homeplate, before the guests managed the third out. with strong 8 Runs for the Nagolder ends the first inning.

In the second round, the Kangaroos manage to bring a runner home with a long shot into the outfield. The guests score a point, but the Nagolder defense is awake and prevents further points.

The hosts were also able to score more points in the second and third innings thanks to good shots and errors by the Kangaroos and increased the gap by the end of the third inning 18:1 Runs. The guests had nothing to oppose. Pitcher Marius Nöther kept up with the Kangaroos 5 Strikeouts in 3 Innings in Schach.

In the 4. Inning, Alexander Kwiring pitched for the Nagolder. But here, too, the kangaroos had a hard time. With an out in the infield and 2 further strikeouts was thus the final score of the game with 18:1 after 4 innings played sealed.

Klaus Diener are particularly offensive (3 Hits, 3 RBIs) and Leander Walz (3 Hits, 1 RBI) commendable to mention. Chris Schmidmeier were also strong in attack(2 Hits, 2 RBIs) and Frieder Häfele (2 Hits, 3 RBIs).

The next home game will take place next Sunday 15 pm against the Bad Mergentheim Warriors. Before that, the students of the Nagold Mohawks play 11 Clock against the Neuchâtel Atomics.
