Neue gegründete Softball-Fastpitch-Mannschaft findet gut in die Saison

On Saturday, the 30. More 2015 fand in Nagold das erste Mixed-Fastpitch-Turnier für unser neu gegründetes Team statt, dass zur Hälfte aus Softballerinnen und Slowpitchern (männlich und weiblich) besteht.

Nachdem einige Damen aus privaten Gründen nach der vergangenen Softball-Saison aufgehört haben, wollten die Nagold Mohawks den verblieben weiterhin die Möglichkeit bieten Fastpitch zu spielen.

Einige Spieler unseres Slowpitch-Fun-Teams haben sich daraufhin bereit erklärt in dieser Mannschaft mitzuspielen. Obwohl einige Spieler des Slowpitch-Teams der neuen Aufgabe anfänglich skeptisch gegenüberstanden, waren die bedenken bald verschwunden und man konnte als eine Mannschaft zusammenwachsen.

Zum Turnier in Nagold waren ursprünglich drei Gastmannschaften aus Göppingen, Mannheim und Sindelfingen vorgesehen. Nachdem die Mannschaft aus Göppingen wegen Spielermangels aber absagen musste, starteten die verblieben drei Mannschaften bereits mit einem automatischen Sieg in das Turnier.

In der ersten Begegnung trafen die Nagolder auf die starke Mannschaft der Mannheim Tornados, die von Anfang bis Ende klar dominierte und sich durch eine überragende Schlagleistung und eine solide Defensive schnell absetzen konnte. Das Spiel endete frühzeitig mit 21:0 für die Gäste aus Mannheim.

Das zweite Spiel wurde von den Sindelfingen Squirrels und den Mannheim Tornados ausgetragen. Auch hier haben die Tornados klar dominiert und sich auch diesen Sieg nicht nehmen lassen. Auch die Mannschaft aus Sindelfingen hatte dieser stärke nichts entgegenzusetzen und gab den Sieg frühzeitig mit 19:1 from.

In der dritten Begegnung standen sich die Gastgeber aus Nagold und die Sindelfingen Squirrels gegenüber. Im ersten Spielabschnitt konnten die Gäste aus Sindelfingen 6 Runs erzielen und als erstes in Führung gehen. Doch schnell war klar, dass die Mohawks es den Squirrels es nicht so einfach machen würden. Im Verlauf des Spiels konnten die Nagolder in jedem weiteren Spielabschnitt mehr und mehr Runs erzielen und übernahmen schnell die Oberhand in diesem Spiel. Auch diese Begegnung wurde frühzeitig entschieden, wobei die Nagolder mit 23:8 als Sieger vom Platz gingen.

Die Nagolder haben in diesem ersten Turnier eine sehr gute Leistung gezeigt und konnten ihre Stärken unter Beweis stellen. Für die kommenden Auswärtsturniere in dieser Saison haben sich die Nagolder vorgenommen die Leistung weiter auszubauen und diese erste Saison mindestens mit einem ausgeglichenen Ergebnis zu beenden.

Cooperation in the youth field with Mr. Berg Wanderers

The major goal of a sports club youth development program operates is, that all players in their age group and their sport (Softball / Baseball) can play. Since baseball and softball is not just the mass sports in Germany, this is often difficult to implement.

For this reason, the Nagold Mohawks have decided together with Mr. Berg Wanderers to cooperation in the youth field. Thus junior teams in 2015 go into playing, the equally consist of Nagolder and Mr. Berger Players.

Student team wins first game / Soft shooting indoor unbeaten at the top
